Snapshot keeps your data on your machine. Snapshots, parsed project information, samples, and audio previews are stored locally in ~/Library/Application Support/AbletonSnapshot . Nothing is uploaded unless you explicitly press Share.

When you do press Share, the snapshot bundle (the .als, captured samples, plugin manifest, optional audio preview) is uploaded to Cloudflare R2 storage. The bundle stays there as long as the link is active. You can revoke any link from the app at any time.

Email addresses you provide for notifications or trials are stored only to contact you about Snapshot. They are not sold, shared, or used for anything else. You can ask for deletion at any time: felix.w.schaper@gmail.com.

Snapshot does not include analytics, tracking pixels, or third-party scripts on the desktop app. The marketing site uses no cookies.

Snapshot does not train AI on your project data.
